Now available in the Forms Link of this website is information about the UW-Marathon Summer League in Wausau.

Incoming Freshman and Sophomores will participate in the Sunday "Silver League" and incoming Juniors and Seniors will participate in the "Blue League."

THS Boys Basketball Team holds awards program

The Tomahawk Hatchet Boys Basketball program held their banquet and awards program on Tuesday, March 10 at the Rodeway Inn & Suites.

The Hatchet Varsity Letterwinners include: Jesse Calhoun, Jordan Leggett, Mike Anderson, Jacob Jarvensivu, Tyler Leiskau, Nate Maday, Andy Firkus and James Kinnally.

The Varsity MVP is Jacob Jarvensivu. The most improved player award went to Andy Firkus, most dedicated player Jordan Leggett, and Jordan Leggett and Jesse Calhoun won the best defensive player award. The Varsity Hatchet Pride Award winner was Jordan Leggett.
The Tomahawk Hatchet Junior Varsity team's Most Valuable Player is Tyler Jones. The most improved player Nick Myre, most dedicated players are Josh DeNamur and Scott Hagar, and DeNamur also won the Hatchet Pride Award.
The Freshman Boys Basketball Team award winners are MVPs Kyle Bartz and Cody Bandoch, most improved player Zach Bruesewitz, and Hatchet Pride Award to Connor Ahrens.

 

Hatchet Hoops Boys Tourney Recap

Hatchet Hoops and the Tomahawk Boys Basketball program hosted 19 teams at the annual Tomahawk Youth Boys Basketball Tournament on Saturday, February 14 at the Tomahawk School Complex.

Tomahawk’s 5th grade team finished in third place, with a 2-2 record. Tomahawk defeated Prentice and Marathon. Lakeland finished first, with Marathon St. Mary’s finishing second.

At the sixth grade level, Tomahawk had two teams, which both finished 0-3. Tomahawk White lost their final game to Lakeland in overtime. Marathon won the 6th grade level, with Park Falls finishing second.

The Hatchet Hoops 7th grade team finished third on Saturday. Tomahawk defeated Northland Pines 24-13, and in their second game Tomahawk lost to Wausau West White 32-30. In the third place game, Tomahawk defeated Witt-Birn 35-28. Wausau West Blue finished first.

At the 8th grade level, Wittenberg Birnamwood finished first, with Wausau West finishing second.
Hatchet Hoops and the Tomahawk Boys Basketball program would like to thank those that volunteered. The tournament could not be successful without the help of community members.
